IBEW members are allowed to sign Book II at any time during the normal
business day. They are also allowed to sign anytime during normal business hours
after being laid off. Once a person is on Book II the following procedures will be
use for Referrals and Resigns.
REFERRAL hours ate 7:30 to 10:00 AM. You are allowed three
(3) strikes before you are removed from the book. A strike will be given if there is
a busy signal, no answer, you are not at the number on the application or you refuse a
call. A message will be left on an answering machine, but it will result in a strike
if all of the calls are filled before you return the call. No one may accept a call
for you.
RESIGN hours are monthly 7:30 to 10:00 AM only, in person, and on
the anniversary date of your original sign in, or 1 day before ONLY. There are NO
EXCEPTIONS to this rule unless your date falls on a weekend or holiday that the Local is
closed. In this instance your resign will be accepted on the Friday before, or
Monday after the actual date, for holidays, one day before and one day after.
